When I woke up this morning I tried to walk on it and I can not, even if I try and use my heel to walk I get sharp shooting pain. I am experiencing pain on the right side of my foot, top and bottom when I am stationary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.
You have probably sustained soft tissue injury.
Rest, applying ice over the swelling and taking Ibuprofen ( Advil) will provide relief.
If the swelling does not decrease over the next few days or if it keeps increasing a x-ray of the foot should be done to rule out bone injuries.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
