Brief Answer:
Local pain relief ointment and crepe bandage.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

This wrist pain is likely to be a muscular origin because of over exertion.

Continue to give rest and ice applications which will be helpful to reduce pain and swelling if it is there.

Hot compression would be helpful to increase blood supply to the affected muscle and it will promote healing but give it after 48 hours but not immediately.

Local pain relief ointment (volini) would also be helpful if advil takes much time to work.

Avoid lifting heavy objects with that hand or better to use other hand.

Keep it in most comfortable position or use a splint/crepe bandage most of the time (including at night) for best results for initial few days.

Watch for worsening of symptoms like increase in pain, appearance of swelling and tingling numbness of wrist.

If she get any of these, visit your physician and get a check up done followed by investigations like X ray. Otherwise there is nothing to worry.

However,it may take 3 to 5 days for complete recovery since it is likely muscular pain.

I hope this answers your query.
