Suggest Remedies To Lose Weight In A Hypertensive Person
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I'm a 55 year old woman who is overweight. I got divorced in 2011 and developed high bp the following year. I have been taking 25 mg Angizaar in the morning for the last 4 years (2012-14) and the bp was normal or on a few occasions 140/90.
I stayed at a hotel for the 2016 New Year, indulged in fatty foods and alcohol in addition to delaying the time of my tablet. My pressure readings these last two days was 150/100 and today 160/110. I was advised to increase my dosage to 50 mg and as such take 25 mg at night I would like to know if I should do so and what are the side effects/harm? Could I stop the night dose if my bp remains normal? What are the consequences of not taking the night dose and sticking to only 25 mg in the morning?

Brief Answer:
25 mg Angizaar BID is the best solution
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,
It was a good advise to take another 25 mg in the evening.
If you have no side effects while taking 25 mg, then the possibility to have a side effect in case of 50 mg is quite low as well.
If you don't take the medication and have a high blood pressure it could lead to adverse effects of arterial hypertension.
Most probably your blood pressure changes are due to lifestyle change. Take the medication, make a proper diet and after some time you may not need the evening dose.
Wishing you a good health
