Brief Answer:
Get urine culture done .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone surgery foe enlarged prostate .(Probably endoscopic surgery of TURP)

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was urine culture and sensitivity test done prior to prescribing antibiotics ?
2) What do you mean by partial prostate surgery? Will you please write few details about the surgery?
3) What was the size of prostate gland reported on Ultrasound Scanning done before surgery ?

Assuming that you have undergone Trans Urethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) the problem that you are facing is due to post operative severe UTI which does occur in few patients.

The antibiotics that you have been taking may not be effective due to the organisms causing infection may not be sensitive to these antibiotics.

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

In the mean while take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Taking appropriate antibiotic is the only solution to resolve the problem .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
Seems that you have not done Urine Culture

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.
It seems that you have been prescribed antibiotics based on presence of bacteria detected on routine urine test and no culture of urine seems have to be carried out so far .It takes 3 days to get urine culture report.]

I again suggest you to get urine culture done at earliest and take appropriate antibiotics as per culture report .

In the mean while take medications which \I have suggested i my earlier reply .

You can take Fluconazole twice daily along with the medicines .
Thanks and Regards.
