Brief Answer:
VL'Scopy followed by medication.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Either the skin, leaves or a seed of the persimmon have caused an abrasion or the fruit itself has caused a reaction in the throat. It is unlikely to be stuck in the throat for so many days.

2. A simple VideoLaryngoscopy (VL'Scopy) will help you settle the issue.

3. After a VL'Scopy has confirmed that the piece of the fruit is not visible, medication and gargles will help soothe the throat. Such sensations are expected to last for a few days.

4. Since you have no major symptoms, you may chose to avoid this check-up for another day or two. It is, however, advisable to get a medical opinion. It is not the fact that a piece of the fruit might be stuck in the throat, but the fact that it may get aspirated suddenly into the airway.

If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
