Question: yes I found a broken rubber band looking object in my stool. approx. 2 in long (flat like rubber band)approx 1/8 in wide an maybe 1/16 thick. I have always had problem with going to bathroom some childhood but it was always constipation until over the last several years, it goes from diarrhea to constipation. for instance I've been constipated all week till yesterday then it was really loose all day and night. I also have some discomfort in lower
back and abdomen.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be denuded intestinal epithelium

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
It is most likely to be denuded gut epithelium which occurs as part of the normal renewal process.
If you see it again, it would be good to have a histopathological examination as it will settle the issue.
Best wishes,
