Brief Answer:
It will need special care

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

I am sorry to know what happened, still thankfully at least so got to know it was bleeding , some moles really have very profuse blood supply and they really bleed much when they get damaged some how.

You mole seems to be one of that kind.

Don't pack it with a tissue roll , tissues absorb blood and it will keep bleeding into the tissue.

Take some clean cotton if you have or a clean cloth and press that place well for about 10 minutes .

If bleeding doesn't stop then go to some ER to get it packed by medical personnel.

Infact I would suggest you to visit an ER because this is a sensitive are and it contains many germs which can even cause gangrene in rare cases. So doctors might want to prescribe an antibiotic or an antibiotic ointment for this.

I will also stress on wound care. It is very important even when the bleeding has stopped , do take care of it ,

Don't let it stay wet,

Take a good care of hygiene and wear easy clothes till it gets healed up and don't peel the wound covering.

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.

Hi there,

Had removed the tissue, cleaned the area with diluted chloroxylenol, used a gauze to close the wound and held it by hand so as to put pressure on wound, the bleeding stopped. Again cleaned area with chloroxylenol. Consulted a physician who traced history of the mole his diagnosis is a probable rare single hemangioma if I am spelling it correct, rare because of area of occurence, since all of it has come of we have to wait a week or two to see if it grows back.i

His diagnosis was on the base of my physical description of it; 1-2 mm in diameter, slightly raised like a hemisphere, from memory I had noted it in 2005 or 2006, according to his experience moles do not come of, if it is any help my skin color is like hispanics say light brown. He says to visit today again as he might start a pecautionary antibiotic treatment. So for the next month or two I have to wait and monitor the situation. If it is of further help my groin area is quite hairy and I need to shave from pelvic region to knees as I have also been operated for pilonoidal sinus year 2006, and during the same years had really large ingrowing hair extracted in penile region which left base area follicles scarred a bit, since completely removing hair and except for scar left from earlier years in the past eight years I have had no problem except what occured last night.

Brief Answer:
Haemangioma is what should be suspected

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back,

You doctor has almost supported my opinion, I told you your mole seems to be very vascular and haemangioma is a swelling of vessels actually and when it breaks it bleeds like anything.

It's great that you did the right thing of cleaning it and then stopping the blood.
You doctor also is considering antibiotics that's what i said in my previous response that they can well be considered because the area has real dangerous germs.

All you have to do now is to take care of the place and don't let the wound get infected or bleed and keep checking if it regrows.

Yes scrotal haemangioma are very rare.

Hopefully things will stay fine in future too.

Wish you a great weekend.

Stay blessed.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
