Suggest Remedy For Bloated Feeling During Periods

I am a 26 year old female. I have had a history of bloating problem. Ususally it used to happen around periods, but ocassionally it used to persist through out the month. Once a doctor told me vit B12 deficiency was the reason, I took B12 shots and the problem subsided. After a year, the problem reappeared, this time B12 didnt help, I was given Cintapride and unienzyeme. It worked.
A year later now, the problem has reappeared. This time i consulted a sr. gastroentologist and he suggested it was low motility of food. He gave Cintapride with a semethicone (gasofilm) hasnt worked, Nexipride i.e levosulpride with uniemzyme hasn't worked either. I do not have diabetes, constipation or other disease. ...I feel full all the time and now the lower back muscles have started to ache on bloating. I eat moderate and healthy. I feel fatigued most of the time...Any idea what could it be..or what could treat it?
I had got a complete ultrasound done a year back when I was suffering the problem, all reports were normal even B12 was normal back then.
Consider foods/endoscopy
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for consulting HCM.
It sounds like you have had seen the gastroenterologist but I wonder if they did an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. There are many problems that may be seen with these tests that can not be found on physical exam and blood testing. If you have not had these tests I would definitely suggest that you ask your gastroenterologist for them. It is also possible that your problems may be related to foods. The first thing I would try to eliminate is all dairy products. Many adults have lactose intolerance and this can cause bloating and in some patients gas and loose stools. If that is not helpful I would next try eliminating gluten. Gluten is found in all wheat products so that is more difficult, but not impossible to eliminate. For the dairy you need to eliminate if for a few weeks to see if it helps but for the gluten you may need to be off all gluten for 3 months to see changes. Good luck to you and I hope this is helpful.
