Suggest Remedy For Breathing Trouble After Septoplasty And Adenoidectomy
wait and things should be fine in few weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Post septoplasty and adenoidectomy, seven days post operative, the nasal cavity and nasopharynx will be having edema and some crusting. This can be a reason for some dryness and post nasal drip and obstruction.
When one lies down, the nasal and sinus secretions tend to pent up posteriorly and air passage remains patent.
When one stands up and walks, these secretions fall down inthe form of post nasal drip and some obstructive element can be because of this.
Lubricant like liquid paraffin should help in crusting and dryness.
Otherwise these problems should be over within few weeks as the wound healing takes about six weeks.

Avoid risky jobs & do steam inhalation
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
No special precautions except avoiding driving and other risky jobs in case you are feeling uncomfortable.
If not nothing special is required.
Self healing of wound should be allowed and not much interference should be done in that. Steam inhalation will help.

Thanks for the query.
Small amount of blood should not be problem if clotted. Should go in 4-6 weeks.
If it is fresh and is repeatedly coming, please visit your surgeon and discuss with him/her.
Throat pain and post nasal drip should not be a problem and steam inhalation and antiseptic gargles should help. If there is repeated fresh bleeding, steam inhalation should be done after consulting your surgeon.
Cause of these problems is that the wound has not healed yet as the time gap after surgery is less at present.
