Question: I have seen reported thread worm symptoms regarding craweling sensations on back , neck, face and ears and nose. I have experienced same but can feel and often see a fine mesh netting type material extruded from then anus and up the back. This netting is wrapped around the entire body in several layers from head to toe, including inside the mouth and throat into stomach and lungs. Is this known of threadworms?

Brief Answer:
Such symptoms are not known for threadworms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your query and concern.

As per your symptoms, there is no parasitic infection including thread worm which is known to cause netting and body wrapping. This is not known of thread worms too.

But the subcutaneous movements are quite possible in parasitic infestations which is referred to as cutaneous larva migrans. This is the most common form of tropically acquired dermatosis.

But a diagnostic confirmation is needed. This requires a skin biopsy and serum levels of IgE antibodies.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
