Brief Answer:
Looks like cystic acne (boil).

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to health care magic,

It looks like a cystic acne from both the pictures which is also a type of boil that is formed when oil ducts become clogged and infected.

Boils are commonly due to bacterial infection (mostly staphylococcal) in a person with Problems with the immune system,Poor nutrition or Poor hygiene etc.

You can take small course of oral antibiotics like cephlaosporins (cefadroxyl or cefixime) or fluroquinolones with over the counter analgesics (diclofenac 100 mg) and antiinflammatories (ibuprofen) to get rid off that.

You can consult some local doctor or GP who will know about it.

Hope this will help you.

I'm taking Amlodipine 10mg. I was taking lisinopril 40mg and hctz as needed. I stopped the hctz and lisinopril. I think the AM was weakening my immune system (or so I've read) and the listen up real and HCTZ was likely causing toxicity of my blood. Just my hypothesis. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
it is not related to this antihypertensive drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up.

Amlodipine, lisinopril or hydrochlorothiazide are not known to cause low immunity or blood toxicity or if it occurs due to this drugs,it would be very rare.

However, boils can occur anywhere in the body irrespective of health status. We can only cure but can't prevent them.

As I said earlier,Boils are commonly due to bacterial infection (mostly staphylococcal) in a person with low immunity,Poor nutrition or Poor hygiene but it's not necessary that other (comparatively) healthy individuals won't have it.
The reason is not clear.

Take antibiotic course with other symptommatic drugs and they will subside.
