Suggest Remedy For Dark Circles And Discomfort Near Eyes After Facial Palsy

Question: Hi,
I had a facial palsy attack in XXXXXXX Though, I recovered majorly till October-November, I still feel some abnormality near my eyes (lower part of the eyes, where dark circles can be seen). During eating or while touching my lips with my tongue or when I rub my upper and lower lip, I feel a stretch and discomfort in the area below my eyes. Also on applying too much force near my cheek bones, I can feel a slight pain. Please advise what exercise should I follow? Shall I visit a doctor? Will this too go away with time or is this a permanent thing?

Brief Answer:
This will go away with time.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms XXXX,
Thank you for getting back.
I am glad to note that you have recovered well. These minor symptoms are expected during recovery from facial palsy. There is no need to worry about that. Also, there is no need to visit a doctor.
Facial exercises such as blowing a balloon, sucking through a straw, gentle facial massage, etc should be continued at home by self.
You would slowly get better, and they are not going to be permanent.
Best wishes,
