Global developmental delay is caused by many causes due to prenatal, natal and postnatal period.
Many other causes may cause such a disorder. Most common cause is hypoxic ischaemic injury leading to cerebral palsy.
Such child have usually delayed milestones and social development.
For treatment physiotherapy is the only hope.
It can be given by pediatric or neurological physiotherapist.
Apart from this, special school are there for such child.
Some other treatment like botox for spasticity or wheel chair may be needed from child to child.
