Suggest Remedy For Diarrhea And Pink Looking Feces

Question: I have been having diarrhea light pink looking feces with no other symptoms when I go to the bathroom since Monday of last week... I am going to the doctor this Monday coming but, just worried about what it could be.

I have gone through your question, your attached pics and understand your concerns.

No need to scare because it’s looking due to infection. Pinkish stool associated with diarrhea is common problem and it is usually due to bacterial infection in adults.

I advise my patients to follow these steps-

1) Complete blood count and stool sample for laboratory examinations.

2) Replenishing water loss is important so plenty of fluids and Oral Rehydrating Solution.

3) Avoid spicy foods, and take Light food including Bananas, rice, toast and curd in diet.

4) Tablet- Combination of Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg .

5) Sporlac XXXXXXX three times a day after dissolving in 1/2 glass of clean water.

No need to worry because it seems to be due to infection and after completing treatment you will be fine soon.

Ok thx, can I get the stuff above from the pharmacy or do I need to go to the doctor to get a prescription for that? How long do I take the medicine above and eat the things you suggested?

I prescribe following medicines to my patients -

1) Replenishing water loss is important so plenty of fluids and Oral Re hydrating Solution for 5 to 7 days.

2) Avoid spicy foods, and take Light food including Bananas, rice, toast and curd in diet for 5 to 7 days.

3) Combination of Tablet Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg twice a day for 5 days. You need prescription for this medicine.

4) XXXXXXX Sporolac three times a day after dissolving in 1/2 glass of water for 5 days.
