Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
Yes your doctor is right diarrhea is part of diverticulitis and you should discuss with your doctor about starting antibiotic therapy.
Abdominal angio CT may suspect the diagnosis of diverticulitis. However, colonoscopy is essential in confirming the diagnosis of diverticulitis. This This is why I strongly recommend to discuss with your doctor about doing colonoscopy to.

I had a Colonoscopy done in April along with a Barium Enemma because the Doctor could get all the way through and wanted to make sure there was no blockage which there was not.and the only thing that showed as far as I know was Internal Hemmoroid and Diverticulosis. I have been on 2 antibiotics since Monday night. It is now Wednesday night.

Hi back,
Thank you for follow up.
1. You are reporting to have been diagnosed with diverticulosis, so diverticulitis is the first diagnosis suspected at your situation.
2. Starting antibiotic treatment is the right choice at your situation. Please wait until the end of the treatment to judge about the effect of therapy.
Meantime I suggest to :
- use plenty of water
- have a liquid diet like juice fruits
- Gelatin
- cooked vegetables without skin
- yogurt
- probiotics
After a couple of days with liquid diet you can start to use low fiber foods.
Wish you all the best.
