Start treatment ,pigmentation disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Thanks for the pictures and the details .
You seem to have developed patches of lichen planus pigmentosus.
Now this is basically an autoimmune disease causing development of purplish skin patches .
It needs long term treatment and sometimes it is not possible to completely control the disease with treatment too .
I would advise you to start application of a skin lightening cream like skin lite cream over the affected areas at night daily .
Use it regularly for atleast three weeks .
If there is any improvement, then you should continue to apply it ,else you might require a skin biopsy .

Thanks for your reply,
(1) If your diagnosis is LPP then why biopsy is important? By observing the image I sent, is there any probability of other disease too?

(2) Its practically very tough to apply cream because its not in a single place. some are small some are big. I can apply cream only on the patches which is big and clearly visible.

(3) Please guide me that in which field there would be better treatment of LPP. Allopathic, Homeopathic or Ayurvedic?

(4) Is there any role of vitam A tablets in this disease? If yes then what is the dose you recommend me?

Brief Answer:
Need for a closer assessment of the affected area

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I would suggest biopsy in your case since the there are two diseases with such a clinical appearance. They are lichen planus pigmentosus and macular amyloidosis.
A biopsy or a closer examination by a magnifying lens or a dermoscope is required to differentiate between these conditions at times .
So that is why I have advised you to see a nearby dermatologist so that a closer assessment is possible .
Topical therapy is essential for treatment.
I can understand that application might be a bit difficult but it is the mainstay of treatment.
Vitamin a therapy has been found to be useful in some cases but results are not consistent in all patients .So I won't advise you to take it without a proper assessment.

On this forum ,we can just guide you regarding the probable diagnosis and the expected management .
I would surely advise you to see a nearby allopathic doctor for a closer examination of the lesion .

Hope it helps
