Suggest Remedy For Fever, Diarrhea And Vomiting
Question: My daughter, age 2 has been having a low grade fever, intermittent diarrhea, and vomiting since November. Yesterday she experienced an allergic reaction of some kind which resulted in what looked like hives, but were not itchy. She has been very tired on and off, "punky" acting despite a great personality. What questions should we be asking her doctor?
Brief Answer:
ask for food allergy panel
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Given the history of intermittent vomiting and diarrhoea for the past three months along with present hives the diagnosis is more likely urticaria which is viral infection or allergic or temperature change induced.
Ask your doctor to test your child for food allergens.
Her white cell count is normal.
Probably not infection and more likely allergic.
Continue current medicines meanwhile.
Wishing your child good health.
