Suggest Remedy For Finger Burn

Question: On Saturday, I was frying steaks. I lifted the pan to drain some of the grease and burned my right thumb really bad. It's Monday and still blisters on my thumb and other finger were slight burns. The biggie is my thumb. I've been using a collagen ointment, but doesn't seem to help.. Lots of pain down into the bone of my thumb. I've been take 3 Motrin every 3 hours, but doesn't help the pain. I don't want to go to emergency with such a little complaint. But, from my end, it really hurts.
Thanks for listening, I'm being mailed a new password.. Don't know what happened to the old one. Please wait.

Brief Answer:
Topical antibacterial cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and I have noted down your concern.
I suggest you to use a topical antibiotic cream e.g 2% mupirocin cream, twice daily for a week. Has the blister ruptured or is it still intact? Can you upload an Image?
Regards

Brief Answer:
Neosporin is fine
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Ok. Neosporin is fine. It is also a topical antibacterial. I will also suggest a prophylactic course of an Oral antibiotic e.g either Amoxicillin 500mg or Cephaklexin 500 mg, three times daily, for a week. Oral antibiotics would act faster in helping resolve any possible infection.

Brief Answer:
Keep it open
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Keep it open. Thus would allow any fluids to drain and thus would help in faster healing. You can even clean the area with soap water and after thoroughly drying it with a clean towel you may apply topical antibiotic cream.
