Suggest Remedy For Floaters In The Eye

XXXX
No need to be worried as floaters are usually harmless.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.
I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist with training in Medical retina and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history.
Floaters are common problem and are seen in most of the people after the age of 60 years.
Floaters are usually because of age related degeneration affecting the vitreous inside the eye.
Most of the times floaters are harmless and no treatment or intervention is required.
You need to worry or consult a retina specialist if there are flashes of light along with floaters and sudden increase in floaters. In few people floaters can be associated with retinal problems like retinal tears which will result in flashes of light along with floaters.
In these cases we do retinal laser to prevent any complications in future.
Hence no need to be worried about simple floaters, consult your retina specialist as per your advice of your doctor, he will perform once again dilated retinal examination and if there are any retinal problems like retinal thinning or retinal tear he will consider a retinal laser.
Since you are not having any flashes of light I do not think there are possibilities of any of the retinal problems, hence no need to be worried.
Hope this answers your question.
Thank you
With regards

Also, could looking at braille dots all day long on a computer worsen my vision at my age?
Thank you for your answers.
Looking at the braille dots on computer will not worsen your vision
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
Increase in floaters can cause blurred vision and this can also be caused by increase in cataract.
Retina specialist will consider doing laser either on the same day or at the earliest depending on the clinical findings. Based on your history I think you will not have any retinal problem.
Looking at the braille dots on computer will not worsen your vision hence no need to be worried about it.
Hope this answers your question.
Thank you
