Posted on Wed, 13 May 2015
Question: Out of nowhere last night the ride side of my lips top and bottom became extremely hard and blew up. When I woke up, the right side was still hard on the top and bottom lip and much bigger than my left side. I have had Juvederm injections in my lip but the last injections were over a year ago.

Brief Answer:
Angioedema

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Images.

I suggest a possibility of Angioedema. I don't think this is related to dermal filler injections.

Angioedema or Quincke's edema is characterized by rapid swelling of dermis (deep layer of skin), subcutaneous tissue, mucosa and submucosal tissues.

It classically affects the lips. Other sites like eyes, glottis/ throat, tongue, hands and feet may also be involved.

I suggest you to take an Oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine Or Loratadine, once or twice daily for a week.
Cetrizine is available over the counter.
