Suggest Remedy For Head And Neck Pain After Head Injury

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Sep 2015
Question: I fell from an 8" step onto a cement floor covered by thin carpet 2 days ago. I was advised by my doctor's nurse to go to emergency room as they would want to do a CT scan of my head which took a direct hit on the floor, left side below my ear. It is almost 48 hours and I still feel a bit sideways with head and neck pain when turning my head. Also some nausea and a little blurred vision. I feel very tired and want to sleep. I was again advised to go to emergency room.

Brief Answer:
Head CT has to be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

You were advised correctly. Unfortunately there is no other way, than head CT, to find out if the head injury is serious or not. Your symptoms can indicate some brain bleeding. And as you can see, there is no improvement after 48 hours.
So please do not ignore your symptoms and go to ER. Head CT has to be done.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
