Suggest Remedy For Hip Pain When Diagnosed With Spinal Stenosis
Question: I have been diagnosed with spinal stennosis, have received 2 sets of cortisortisteroid shots in the past 5 weeks, as a preliminary solution. Last Tuesday (8/4/15) shots were "Bilateral L3 epidurals, dexamethasone 16 mg". Had sudden hip pains last evening during dinner of fish & chicken, maybe related to an old gout condition. Only pain relief is Tylenol (my heart Dr. has eliminated NSAIDs). I do have old (expired May 2014) Indomethacin. Suggestions?

I read your question carefully and I am sorry about the pain you're in.
Indomethacin is a NSAID and one of the most harmful ones at that, so if your doctor has forbidden those you shouldn't take it. If the pain is unbearable and really want to make an exception for a day, a NSAID to take would be Ibuprofen (Advil).
Other options for your pain, if the pain is due to nerve root compression, medication for neuropathic pain might help. They include either anticonvulsant like gabapentin, pregabalin or antidepresents like duloxetine.
Another painkiller more potent than acetaminophen is Tramadol, an opioid like drug. Last option are opioids themselves with their potential for dependence and addiction.
Of course these drugs are to alleviate symptoms only and they should be associated with physical therapy.
For spinal stenosis there is also surgery, but it is as a last resort, especially at your age where surgery has extra risk.
