Question: Yes, Please!
I was awakened last night with shooting pain from the ball of my left foot up the inside of my foot to my upper ankle. the pain is not persistent. The shooting pain occurs when I am laying down or sitting and is not continuous happens approximately every 5 minutes. If I am standing with my weight on my left leg I do experience the pain.
Any ideas what is causing it and what I should do to ease it or make it stop. Thank You

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Ball of big toe pain can be due to gout. Whether there is also redness and swelling. You can see uric acid level to see because uric acid level is increased in gout. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Hot fomentation is useful. If uric acid level is high then fabuxostat can be taken. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
