Suggest Remedy For Irritation, Itching And Sensitivity In Testicles
Question: Hi ,
Couple of days ago I had mild irritation in my testicles used undiluted dettol to clean the surface. It stung quite a bit and later my scrotal skin started peeling off. I cleaned it thoroughly but now my skin has become red and very sensitive (itchy). Can you please advice me on what should i do cure it?Also please tell me if there will be any complications because of this stupid mistake on my erectile function.

You might have developed an irritant contact dermatitis to dettol.
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply clobetasol propionate cream on the red and itchy skin twice daily along with an oral antihistaminic like tablet Levocetrizine 5 mg once daily at bedtime.
This will resolve the condition in 5-7 days.
These are prescription medicines and you need to see the doctor in person to get them,
Besides this wash the area with water only and don't use any harsh soap over the affected area till it resolves.
Don't worry as this will not affect your erectile function.
But be careful in the future not to use dettol over the genitilia.
