Suggest Remedy For Itching On The Urethra

Question: Hi Doctor, I am a 22-year-old male and have been quite sexually active as late. All partners were women, and I ALWAYS wore a condom during sex. That said, while I did wear a condom upon receiving oral sex most of the time, there were about 3-4 occasions where I received oral without a condom. Earlier this week, directly (within minutes) of ejaculating after sexual intercourse, I began to feel an irritating itch in my urethra. It has been about 3 days now and the itch still comes and goes. I have no other symptoms, no painful urination or ejaculation. No visible dermatological symptoms. It is only an itch in the urethra that comes and goes. What do you think it could be? Should I get an STD test or go see a physician?
Thank you Doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query.
The itching on the urethra might be just related to irritation due to intercourse.
I will suggest to give it some days and if the itching persist you may need to see a physician and get some tests done.It might be a fungal infection.
Considering the fact that you have been involved earlier in unprotected oral sex, you need to get tested for all panel of STD.This just to be sure that you haven't contracted an infection from these exposures and to be more careful in the future.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question or doubts to clarify.
Kind regards,

Thank you doctor. I will give it a few days and go to the doctor if it hasn't cleared up by then. If, by any chance, this were due to an infection, the infection would likely be curable, correct?
Thank you again.

Brief Answer:
yes,completely curable
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Yes, the infection would be curable.
Even if it was a fungal infection or an STD (that can be contracted from oral sex ) would be totally curable.
But don't think it right now.
I would recommend to get a STD panel test done ,even if the itching goes away completely in few days. This is just to be safe since you have has unprotected intercourse earlier.
Take care.
