Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to healthcaremagic
You seem to have developed an allergic reaction. You can use antihistaminics like levocetrizine twice daily along with potent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected area . This will surely help in relieving your itching sensation. In case you don't have any improvement after 5- 7 days of its usage I would recommend you to consult a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wish you speedy recovery.

Additional information: There was also a bruise on the knee, and the itching is mostly around such bruise, which is getting healed. the skin around the bruise actually turned red and got peeled off recently. (new skin has developped)
Medications: I have taken Telekast L which i believe is a levocetrizine tablet.
is it normal to itch so much during the healing process ? i would still like to go for medication, as the itching is just unbearable.

Brief Answer:
Upload picture
Detailed Answer:
You should not itch too much during the healing phase as it will impair proper healing. Telekast L is a combination of levocetrizine and montelukast. I would recommend you to upload a photograph of the area for proper evaluation so that I can guide you in a better way.
