Brief Answer:
Tear of the collateral ligament in the knee joint

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

There was evidence of tear of the anterior collateral ligament in the knee joint that hold the knee joint. It attaches from the thigh bone to the medial shin bone and prevents excessive anterior translation of the shin on to the thigh bone thus keeping the shin bone from moving too far forward and also rotation of the same.

Since the problem was for 3 months and you have functional impairment you should consult an Arthroscopic surgeon to address the need for surgery. Most likely you need a surgery if you have symptoms.
