Brief Answer:
Possible Gastroenteritis...

Detailed Answer:
hello,
Thanks for the follow up.

With the information you gave it appears that the pain is due to a gastrointestinal cause and possibly gastroenteritis.
I would like you to advise to take these antibiotics on prescription from your physician and start them soon...
TAB NORFOX-TINIDAZOLE 500mg twice a day for 5 days.
Tab Diclofenac sodium 100mg twice a day for 2 days fr pain.
Tab pantoprazole 40mg stat.

It is likely that you may have loose motions as well but drink ORS ( oral rehydration solution) to keep yourself hydrated.

Dr.Sameer Kumar

I don't think it's a stomach issue as its not my stomach that is hurting. It hurts when I empty my bladder. Or is it possible to have this with no stomach issues?

Brief Answer:
its UTI ....same meds work...explained.

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for the follow up.

If your lower abdomen is hurting only when you are emptying your bladder, then its a symptom of urinary tract infection.
Ideally you should get a urine culture sensitivity done, but the similar organisms like E.Coli, and Gm NEGATIVE BACTERIA in bladder can be safely taken care off by the antibiotic (norflox and tinidazole). so you can take it as advised and i am sure if your water intake is good, you shall be relieved of your symptoms after three dosages itself.

Any burning sensation while passing urine?

Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (28 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
get a urine culture and sensitivity done

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
thanks for the follow up.

urine culture is a lab test done with urine sample which is cultured under medias and its growth is checked after 7 days. Any growth would identify infection.

you have to meet your physician for the same to order it. If the pain comes and goes., then it indicates that infection in bladder is minimal and it gets ok when the water intake is invariably increased.
