Please give few more details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your findings of randomly swollen lymph nodes for years, a swelling over mid-thigh, Pityriasis rosea with random rashes, on steroids; have more bad days than the good ones- wants to know further.
I would like to know a few more details so that I can assist you more:
- Was any FNAC or biopsy of the swellings or nodes done till now, if yes, please give reports.
- Any other medication other than steroids for the nodes or swelling?
- Any associated symptoms of fever, body-ache, loss of appetite and weight?
- Any other relevant information that you can provide.
Please provide me this information so that we can continue systematically to find the diagnosis and a proper suitable treatment plan.
Awaiting for yours.

Swollen lymph nodes that are intermittent, but large enough to cause pressure and pain in my neck.ive had swelling behind my ear, side of my neck, lump when I swallow, and inside of upper thigh.
I feel no aches, but feverish often. I check my temp and it's only ever around high 86F. My normal is 97.3.
I am very tired!! Especially when I exert myself, but it's manageable...not missing work except for appointments.
I'm dizzy often and feel my heart beat faster when I do stairs, loading things, etc. my blood pressure is always 115/70 range at Doctor's, but lower when I'm not stressed.
I've had rashes on my whole upper trunk for months (PR) last year, on my neck intermittently for the last year (given an anti fungal but it keeps returning) and I just had a large rash on my right arm (forearm and upper).
I have a lot more headaches. I've suffered from migraines for years and these are similar, but also I feel them in he back of my head.
I have some tingly in my hands and feet, but no major loss of feeling.
Should I ask for a biopsy next time or a referral to an autoimmune specialist? Thank you!!
Biopsy of the cervical lymph node.

Thanks for your detailed feedback.
It is nice to know that the blood tests are normal, you have already been checked for TB, Lymes, Mono and CMV; but positive for previous infection of EBV.
Noted your history and symptoms, the recurrent nature of the lymph nodes is indicative of an allergic phenomenon and this can be due to eosinophilic infiltration and hence the swelling can come and go.
The best way to get a proper diagnosis in such a case is obviously FNAC and preferably excision biopsy. The reports will give the idea of he final diagnosis and help to give a plan of treatment.
Best to ask for biopsy.
Better be done when the nodes are swollen; blood culture and sensitivity at the same time can give additional information.
I hope the proper diagnosis and proper treatment as per the report will help you get a possible cure of your symptoms that you have mentioned.
The swelling in the mid-thigh may be a cyst.
Please go for biopsy and I shall be happy to review the report and assist you till you are cured.
Take care.
Have a great day.
