Suggest Remedy For Pain During Cycling After C-section Delivery
Question: Hi , my wife had a baby by c section delivery on April 21 this year.today she reported to me that I have pain when I do cycling little fast. Is it normal or she should avoid cycling... Please give me a guidance.
Brief Answer:
It is normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.
It has been more than 2 months since c-section. Is she experiencing pain at the stitches? Well if the pain is bad and interfering with daily duties then it should be evaluated by a gynaecologist.
I think that after delivery it does take some time for body to return to normal shape. Some pain is experienced by every woman at the site where tears happened during delivery. Mild pains can be ignored since they disappear when lactation is stopped and the connective tissue regain their fibrous constituency. She can do cycling within her limits till then.

Brief Answer:
The uterus size normalizes in 6-8 weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
The uterus size returns to normal after 6-8 weeks of delivery. If you feel it is not normal then it is time to see gynecologist. She may be experiencing these symptoms due to infection of uterus or retained products of conception. An ultrasound may be needed to confirm the cause. Then treatment can be taken accordingly. Usually routine work is resumed by 6-8 weeks post-delivery.
I would really suggest to get her evaluated by a gynecologist.
