Question: I am a 58yr old male that just became active again sexually. I am experiencing an unusual problem when I get an erection. My penis curves into my body to the point that it is difficult to have sex. What can be done to resolve this problem? I never had this happen before.

Brief Answer:
Rest, stress, enough fore play, drugs, sensitive areas.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

It is not unusual to experience a difference in erection patters, especially after a long period of abstinence.

However, there are a few things to be considered first. It is imperative to convince your self that the one you want to or you have sex with is some one you really love. Sex has an important psychological component.

You need to have a good rest, ensure you are in a good state of mind too. Stress reduces sexual performance.

You need, especially in this case, enough fore play before getting in for penetration. You can spend much time kissing and caressing yourselves. It might be longer than usual in case for your body to re adapt to sexual amusement. It might be interesting to tell your woman your sensitive parts to get a better stimulation there.

At times, drugs might be used, am hour or two before sexual contact. Sildenafil is the most widely used.

Drugs should be a last resort. Addressing the former mentioned issues usually, on its own, resolve the problem.

Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.

It isn't a problem with rest, stress, enough fore play or being in love. I don't think it is a problem with blood flow. Maybe if I give you some more information it will help. I am 6ft and weigh 185lbs. I work out daily and am in good shape. When I have an erection it curves in towards my stomach drastically. Even when I don't have an erection, my penis has some curvature to it. What else might be the cause and what can be done to correct this problem?

Brief Answer:
Patience, watchfulness, urologist's opinion

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

Thanks for the very useful update. This shall depend in the degree of curvature for instance, and if you got any other associated sign and symptoms.

Physical therapy techniques for a start after a proper review. Booking an appointment with a urologist could be worthwhile in case this actually persists.

I do believe since you just started sexual activity, after a couple of weeks, this should change.

If not, issues with blood flow or some anatomical malfunction should be checked by your urologist. Absence of pain, mass, discharge make me think this should not be that serious.

Kind regards as I suggest patience for a week or two.
