Question: Hey yes, I'm haveing severe pain in my lower right hand back guns where my wisdom teeth should be. It looks like it's swollen with two small white bumps on there. I also see one on my tounge on the right hand side. The past few days I was batteling a fever, chills, sore throat, headache. I went to the walk in they told me I had strep even though the test came back negative. I've been on the amoxicillin for 3 days now. My throat and lymphnodes seem better on my left side but my right side it still seems a little swollen and still hurts a lot. I don't have insurance so I don't want to go to the doctor if I don't have to. Thank you for your help

Brief Answer:
wisdom tooth infection, antibiotics, extraction

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The pain, swelling and limited mouth opening could be because of the gum infection over the wisdom tooth (pericoronal infection leading to space infection).
Consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done to rule the amount of space present for the tooth to erupt if space is there for the tooth to erupt then the gum covering over the wisdom tooth can be removed.
If the space is not available then you have to get the wisdom tooth removed.
Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like metronidazole 400mg tid for 5 days (if you are not allergic) along with amoxicillin 500mg. Do saline gargling.
This answer is based on the description of the lesion by you, if you can upload the images i can give you exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
Do saline gargling. i hope my answer will help you, take care.
If any queries are there reply me back.
