Suggest Remedy For Pain In Knee

Posted on Wed, 28 Jan 2015
Question: Last night we had lobster for in home dinner for New Years Eve. My wife couldn't finish hers so I ate it. About 3 hours later I began experiencing severe pain in both knees to the point I could not walk without assistance. I got 2 hours sleep and could not move without severe knee pain. I Ned a walker to get around and this all happened over the last 12 hours. Any thoughts? Could any ingredient in the lobster bring on this pain so suddenly

Brief Answer:
It seems not to be due to ingredients in the lobester.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you got nonspecific arthralgia of both knees. It may be possible that you may be having osteoarthritis of both knees as it is common in your age. It has been aggravated by some reason such as more movements. Rest and analgesic (you are already taking) are main treatment.

I want to ask some questions.

1. Whether you got such pain in other joints also?
2. Whether you have fever?
3. Whether you stressed your knees by more than normal walking and dancing etc?

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Wishing you good health.
Take care.
