Laceration of GI tract mucosa due to unwell chewed food...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the situation you are going through. I am happy at the same time that you are not having breathing problems.
The pain you feel in the middle of the stomach and back are due to laceration of the mucosa of esophagus, stomach and intestines due to unwell chewed food. This is a temporary situation and would last for a few more days.
I advise to:
- take antacids after each meal
- eat liquid foods (soups or puree) to avoid further laceration of mucosa
- avoid solid foods
- consume more water
- avoid too hot foods/drinks
- avoid citrus foods/drinks
If the pain will be more intense and other unusual symptoms will appear, please seek immediate medical help (ER).
Wish fast recovery!

Too much air swallowed causing stomach distention...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Burping is the result of ingestion gas (air) when you chew up quickly. Gas will cause your stomach to distend. When burping, gas is relieved, thus, the stomach is not more distended. This explains why you felt relief after burping.
If your current problems will continue without any improvement, then I would advice to do upper endoscopy to evaluate stomach mucosa.
Once again, everything you are experiencing is due to ingesting too much air while eating too fast.
All the best!
