Urteric stone with referred pain/ torsion testis/ infection of testis
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history about your husband.
Noted the history of sudden pain in the testicle tending for him to get out of the bed with dry heaving. Took Cran-apple juice and was OK within 2 hours.
He has hard time in urinating 2 weeks ago.
Want to know whether the kidney stone can move to the testicle.
The stone can not- but the pain can and this called a referred pain.
The possibility:
It is possible that a small kidney stone slipped and got impacted into the lower ureter and gave the referred pain in the testicle. Dry heaving is a natural reflex mechanism of the body.
Another possibility for sudden pain which the pain can just go away as swiftly as it comes be a testiclular torsion.
Pain due to infection can not subside so early or suddenly, hence no chances.
I would suggest you the following:
- Tests of urine and blood.
- Antibiotic if the tests are suggestive of infection.
- Ultrasonography of the abdomen for genito-urinary system and of scrotum along with color doppler examination to get an accurate diagnosis and plan a treatment if required.
I hope this answer helps you to get a relief, get a proper diagnosis and further management.
Please feel free to ask for more if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
