Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr XXXX

Normal Ultrasound scan of abdomen is very much reassuring and it's unlikely that any significant pathology is missed out.
Ct scan is unlikely to be of much help , it will just add to radiation exposure. Endoscopy is also unlikely to reveal and significant problem based on location of your pain.

It would be very helpful if you could provide me with the following additional information

1. How often do you experience pain in abdomen ?

2. Do you associated complaints like nausea and vomiting?

3. Is there loss of appetite?

4. Are you constipated? Do you pass stools regularly ? Are stools hard ?

5. Do you consume alcohol ?

6. Is any blood test done ?

Awaiting your response

Take care

Brief Answer:
Cause likely to be non specific colic

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXX,

Going by description of your symptoms and investigation it is unlikely to be something serious. I hope there is no swelling on coughing in marked area. The cause is likely to be non specific Intestinal Colic.

I would suggest you the following

1. Deworming: Antihelminthic Like Albendazole 400 mg single dose

2. Consume plenty of oral fluids: 2-3 liter a day

3. High fiber diet: 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits especially citrus fruits will ensure adequate intake of fiber in diet

4. Avoid food stuffs containing Maida(refined wheat flour) like bread, biscuits

5. Ensure timely intake of meals

6. Avoid spicy and oily food

7. Investigation: Erect X ray abdomen

8. Trial of antacid like Pantoprozole

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Brief Answer:
X ray is the only investigation required at present

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXX

Albendazole is available us over the counter medication. Single dose is sufficient. Pantoprozole needs to be taken early morning on empty stomach once a day for 15 days . At present X ray is the only investigation required. Do follow the advise for couple of weeks , it should definitely work .
Do keep me updated.

Take care
