Suggest Remedy For Pain In The Neck While Yawning

Question: I had a big yawn about 30 min ago and immedicaetly felt pain in my l eft neck. I can swallow but it is painful. What do you think?

1. Seems to be a muscle spasm.

2. You may choose to observe this for a day if the pain is bearable or take an OTC anti-inflammatory analgesic tablet (after a meal).

3. It will take a few hours or days to settle down. Avoid a big yawn in the future as far as possible.

4. It is unlikely to be of any significance. There is no need to investigate further at present. Inform here if it happens again.
