Suggest Remedy For Painful Bruise Near The Rib Cage

Question: fell in shower almost 4 days ago. landed on left hip. ...step down shower, the area on my back right below my rib cage above my hip was exactly where the step struck. was a small bruise, has gradually gotten larger and goes from back around to front of waist. now hurts to urinate, almost feels like a bad kidney infection, low grade fever. I have an Dr appt in 2 days. ok to wait till then?

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to haematoma formation. Injury to kidney should be ruled. It is not good to weight for 2 days. Ultrasound examination should be done to rule out injury to kidney. Urine routine should be done to rule out infection also. It is better to go to ER if not possible to consult your doctor immediately.
