Suggest Remedy For Painful Lump Near The Rib Cage
Question: O have a painful subdermal lump near the bottom of my right rib cage. I just noticed this lump and I would describe it as soft yet fairly firm and present. What are some possible causes of this?

Dear patient, possible causes are:
1. Swollen lymph node, mostly temporary due to infection
2. benign tissue tumor like lipoma or fibroma. These would ne not dangerous, but if they cause any discomfort can be removed.
Please let me know if this lump is red or skin colored, since then there is other possibilities like abszess or atheroma which would need a small incision.
If possible you can also post a picture.

The lump is not visible on the outside nor is there any discoloration .
