Suggest Remedy For Panic Attacks And Allergic Reaction After Smoking Marijuana
Question: Hey doc. So i started smoking cigarettes and marijuana at the age of 15. Developed allergic reaction at 17 and also found out i had an ulcer. Everytime attempted since then my heart beats rapidly as if i was having a panic attack, so after a while i stopped the marijuana. I tried herbal tea and weed cake and the same thing happened.Even to this day it's the same thing and i'm 26. Also ever since then i have not been able to burp or belch. If i attempt to do any of the two it just rushes up to my chest and stops as if its being blocked.About two years ago i got food poisoning at a hotel and i felt the need to vomit but couldnt. My chest was in so much pain, eventually it forced its way up and when it did the vomit and very loud belches came out simultaneously. So ye in the past 9 years i've only belched and vomit once. Now recently i've been having this sticking pain in my chest,it comes and it goes sometimes find it hard to sleep. Not sure if both symptoms are linked but i did some online research on the sticking pain and thought it was pericarditis. Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
Seems to Be GERD
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the description that you have provided.
Your symptoms do not appear to be due to pericarditis
These are suggestive of Gastro esophageal reflux disease. GERD.
I would Suggest that you take Omeprazole 20 mg once a day for 6 weeks . It is available as an over the counter medication. in case your symptoms persist after taking the medication i would advise you to visit a gastroenterologist as you might need further testing including an upper GI endoscopy.
Hope this helps
