I've uploaded a photo
The patches are not raised, appear scaly and flaky. They do itch, but not much and the itchiness decreases when i use moisturisers. They are much worse during dry season

I have seen the attached photographs and it seems to be a case of dry discoid eczema. I treat my patients with cortisone cream and tablet loratidine. Along with this application of a good quality moisturizing lotion like cetaphil moisturizing lotion liberally and frequently over the entire body. I don't know whether these medicines will be available over the counter in your country.
Also use a mild soap for bathing, use lukewarm water for bath, apply coconut oil after having a bath, avoid synthetic and woolen clothes directly in contact with the skin and avoid using blowers that reduce the moisture content of the room.
These measures will help you.
I hope to have answered your query.

Please may I also ask another skin related question. The young lady is having some problem with her feet. The bottom of the foot becomes very dry, cracked, and painful. After some time, it will heal on its own, but the cracks are quite big. It also becomes very itchy during this time.

Hi!!
I normally recommend my patients to apply neosporin ointment in the cracks followed by application of white soft paraffin liberally over the feet two to three times in a day. I also give them antihistaminics like loratidine and diphenhydramine. Ask her not to use harsh soaps on her feet. She can use coconut oil regularly.
I hope this information is of help to her.

perhaps it would be but this is something that has been recurrent for some time -- almost every year it has been happening. Could it be a fungal infection? I can send a photo if that would help.
I don't know if we can get access to paraffin.

Detailed Answer:
There are less chances of it being fungal infection as it doesn't go away without treatment and usually involves one foot. You can upload photograph for better evaluation.I think white soft paraffin is available as over the counter.

Hi, I have provided some attachments. Please review them.
Brief Answer:
It is eczema
Detailed Answer:
Hi!! Just seen the photographs. It is again a case of eczema. I would recommend my patients to apply antibiotic cream in the cuts and high potency steroids like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected dry scaly areas but since it is a prescription medicine you can apply cortisone cream. Also apply a good quality moisturizing cream over the entire feet frequently and liberally. I give antihistaminics for itching. Wear cotton socks, keep feet moisturized and avoid applying harsh chemicals and soaps on the feet.
