Hi, doctor, the fever reduced ,but my daughter is complaining of pain in the stomach?Any ideas??
Brief Answer:
pain could be related to Gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.
I understand your concern.
The stomach pain could possibly relate to the use of antibiotics.
Antibiotics like cefotaxim will occasionally cause gastritis in children.
This will subside on its own.
In case of significant pain analgesics/relaxants like Buscopan can be used. Please check with your physician if he can prescribe them.
In case the pain does not subside even after 3 days, get an ultrasound abdomen.

Hello, Madam.

Since she seem to be on the recovery stage of the illness, adequate protein supplementation is advised.
This includes foods like egg white and delicate fish.
Dals like Bengal gram and black gram are also useful.
Avoid fried and fatty foods.
Avoid overloading carbohydrates.
Provide fruit juices and fruits like apple and pomegranate.
Oatmeal supplementation will help either.
Hydrate her 2 liters of water/day.
Buttermilk instead of curd.
Avoid canned and processed foods.
