Suggest Remedy For Phimosis
Question: hi, my husband has phimosis. is there a way it can be treated? we are planning in next 3-4 months.
Brief Answer:
circumcision is permanent and best remedy for phimosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
If your husband is able to have sex normally, urgent treatment may not be needed.
If sex is difficult or painful, and semen doesn't come out freely, surgery is needed.
Phimosis, once confirmed by a doctor, will not resolve with medicines.
Circumcision is a permanent treatment.
Circumcision is advisable, if the foreskin doesn't retract fully, over shaft of penis.
It's a routine treatment, done under local anesthesia, by majority of Urologists.
Wish him well.

how long does the surgery take place and how much time would it take for him to get cured post surgery (as in after how many days can he have intercourse normally again ?)
Brief Answer:
He'll be cured of a permanent problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXx,
It's a minor surgery, that surgeons do in 5-15 minutes.
Time has no bearing on patient. Don't worry about that.
He should be able to have intercourse in about 3 weeks time.
But then, he's cured of a problem permanently.
Wishing him well.
