Brief Answer:
Temporal arteritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

You should be evaluated by your primary care Doctor.

First diagnosis that comes to mind after your description is temporal arteritis, a condition where the artery that supplies temples and side of the head is thickened and affected by inflamation.

The check up consists on clinical examination, sedimentation rate ( ESR ) or/and temporal artery biopsy.

If diagnosis is confirmed, treatment consists on steroids antiinflamatory drugs use.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
