Brief Answer:
small course of oral antibiotic would be effective.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
welcome to HCM.

If you have developed pustules after surgery which contain puss are likely to be due to some bacterial infection.

You will need to take small course of oral antibiotic like cefixime or cephalexin from cephalosporins group as prescribed your family physician or treating surgeon.

Antibiotic is given to fight or prevent an infection caused by bacteria. So,always take your antibiotics exactly as ordered by your doctor or healthcare provider.

You may also take over the counter pain killers and anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen 400 or diclofenac 100 mg.

Always keep your surgical wounds clean and dry and do not allow the to wet.Means proper wound care is also important.

Also, eat a variety of healthy foods including fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat and fish. Eating healthy foods may help you heal faster.

Continue to take your concurrent medications if you are taking them since long time.

Consult your doctor for antibiotic prescription.

Regards,
