Suggest Remedy For Raised Bump On The Shoulders
Question: I have this raised ovoid bump on my shoulder, please tell me what it is.
Brief Answer:
This is typical of keratosis!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this bump. I have reviewed the image and it is suggestive of keratosis. This is a benign lesion and does not require any urgent attention. However, I will recommend that you notify your doctor of this when you next go in for your routine visits. This is commonly caused by repeated skin repairs in persons with fragile skin. Because it is not on an exposed part of the skin, I will recommend against using aggressive measures to dissolve the bump.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

It is on my shoulder which is indeed regularly exposed. Should I not expose it to the sun? It's hot here and I don't like to be hot. Is this considered pre-cancerous in any way?
Brief Answer:
Needs to be monitored over time!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This bump needs to be monitored in time as in rare and few cases it can become cancer of the skin. Sun exposure should be greatly limited and if you must get exposed, please drink much and apply a sunscreen lotion.
