Brief Answer:
Early sore throat / tonsillitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. This would seem to be the beginning of a sore throat / tonsillitis. A close-up image would help.

2. You may try a medicated gargle and household remedies such as warm milk with turmeric, honey.

3. If the congestion (redness) or swelling increases, if there are nay more symptoms such as pain while swallowing, fever, cold and so on, get an direct examination done.

4. Also check whether you have any history of trauma, foreign body ingestion, exposure or allergy to any foodstuff.

5. Let your doctor decide on antibiotic use as most sore throats are viral. An anti-inflammatory medication (after meals) and an anti-allergic tablet will help.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
