Suggest Remedy For Red Spots On Penis
Question: Hello. Here is my issue: about 2 weeks ago, I indulged in a few long sessions of vigorous dry masturbation that lasted for several hours each. It caused a lot of irritation, but I didn't think much of it as I've done this before.
The next night, I had protected sex with the girl I have been seeing for about 2 months.
A day or two later, i noticed a small red spot on the back "rim" of my glans, right about where the back of my hand would have been causing friction when I was masturbating (I am circumcised). There was no pain, no itching, no oozing, nothing of that sort. Just redness that looked like irritation.
(I should note that I have had oral HSV1 since I was a kid, so I am very familiar with what a herpes blister looks and feels like. This was nothing like that).
The redness lasted a day or two, and then it faded a bit to a shiny pinkish color. At this point, it has been about a week and a half since the irritation has been there, and It doesn't look like it has gotten much better. You can't really see it when glancing at it, but when looking at it under a light, it still looks like a shiny pink spot of skin. I suppose I'm worried because I feel like it should have healed by now. I've never really had anything like this before. Did I scar my penis? Or could it be something that was sexually transmitted? I am very very anxious about this.
Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Use clotrimazole powder. Keep the area clean and dry.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have carefully gone through the details provided. It is more likely to have occurred due to the excessive friction. It is not necessarily scarring. If it resolves soon, I would not worry about it. Till then use clotrimazole powder and keep the area clean and dry.
Since you undertook protected sex, you need not worry about STDs.
Feel free to ask me back in case you have any further queries.

Thank you. How do i use the clotrimazole powder? Do you need to see a photo of the affected area?
Brief Answer:
Just use it like normal talcum powder
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Clotrimazole is an antifungal powder which you can use to keep the area dry. Just apply it as you apply talcum powder anywhere on the body.
You can feel free to upload an image. I however, have already got an idea and hence did not ask for it.
