Suggest Remedy For Redness And Burning Sensation Around The Wound On Foot
May or may not be infected, best to use antibiotic, pls check on tetanus
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Redness and slight burning is a normal response to any wound, but I have 2 things to advise you on:
+Any wound should be treated with a prophylactic antibiotic at the least; you can do so by using a topical application of neomycin cream over the region twice daily for the next 10 days. If the wound does not heal well enough or gets worse (signs of swelling, pus, changing colour, etc.), then please report to a doctor
+Another important thing I need to mention here is whether or not you have taken your tetanus prophylactic dose? Any contact with earth or the environment which results in an open wound can result in tetanus (which is 99 % fatal once contracted). So if at all you are not protected, then please make sure you visit a clinic or a medical centre at the earliest and get your post-exposure shots immediately.
But if you are protected, then you can ignore my second point completely. :)
I hope you find my response helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.
Best wishes.
Would you be so kind as to send me clear images here, thank you :)
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
If you do not mind, could you be so kind and patient as to attach a clear image of the affected region to our discussion here so I can visually examine it and guide you further.
You can do so by either attaching it to our discussion here directly, or by emailing it to me at:
YYYY@YYYY
please do also mention 'ATTN: Dr. Shoaib Khan' in the subject line so it can be easily directed towards me.
Start with application of neomycin ointment over the affected region until I view the images you send. :)
Best wishes.
