Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Delivery
Question: Hello doctor, my wife XXXXXXX delivered a baby on 26th dec 2014 via c-section (at 39 weeks of gestation). As of 10th aug 2014, she had a 5.2 mm calculus at lower pole in her left kidney (left renal calculus) based on an abdominal scan done at that point of time. This had never bothered her so much.
She had her c-section sutures removed yesterday (6th XXXXXXX 2015) and the doctor suggested the stitches have healed well. And she has been taking hifenac-d (pain killer) once a day as she still has pains. however, she started complaining severe pain in her lower abdomen (just above vagina, and below the c-section stitch) for the past few hours.
Am wondering if the pain is due to the c-section/sutures/removal/side effects (or) if it is due to the renal calculus that she may still have pain with. if it is renal calculus pain, can the pain happen where i mentioned? if so, what are the next steps?
She is very weak now, and not sure if we can go through an ultrasound, kidney removal, etc. but i want to get an expert opinion on next steps that i need to do in this situation. please advise.
If you have any further questions on this request, please let me know.
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Tabtet drotin or buscopan
Detailed Answer:
Hello sor, thanks for trusting health care magic.
The pain is most prpbably die to the renal calculus and not related to c-section.
Give her tablet buscopan or tablet drotin thrice a day for 3 days and see if pain is relieved.
if relieved she can take the tablets till she is able to get up and go for an ultrasound and visit a surgeon.
ask her to have plenty of water abd fruit juices daily. all the best.
